I am grateful to be working at Soma with a Community of therapists who are advocates of good health and well-being. Community is a difficult thing to find in a big city like Vancouver where the fast paced/rush-rush lifestyle disconnects people from each other and at times, from their own bodies. As a busy new mom, and a fellow Vancouverite, I know how stressful everyday life can be. I also know how good it feels to get a good massage and reconnect with your body.
Slow down. Tune in. Breathe.
For 10 years before I decided to pursue my goal of becoming and RMT (and truly helping people become more balanced versions of themselves), I was a professional Chef. I struggled with the toll that a high stress career took on my overall health. I looked to massage therapy for help and found that getting regular massages put my mind back into my body and motivated me to take charge of my health. At this juncture in my life I am excited to be the one helping.
I am passionate about working with my hands and in each of my treatments I use a variety of techniques: myofascial release, deep tissue massage, active and passive stretching, muscle energy techniques, Swedish massage, joint mobilizations, and hydrotherapy.
I welcome all people to come book a treatment with me. I am happy to treat a variety of conditions from specific complaints such as pregnancy and post-partum aches and pains, plantar fasciitis, or whiplash, to common general complaints of back pain, tension headaches or insomnia. Whether you need short term help getting that knot out of your shoulders today, or require a longer term treatment plan, I am here to help you attain that goal.
